SUPERFIGHT: PACQUIAO vs MAYWEATHER - May 5, 2012

There's a buzz that the Filipino icon and #1 pound-for-pound fighter Manny 'Pacman' Pacquiao will fight against the American fighter Floyd 'The Money' Mayweather Jr this coming 5 of May 2012.

Here's a video of Mayweather calls out Pacquiao, prior to his fight with the WBC welterweight champion Victor Ortiz.

"We only want to fight the biggest and the best out there, and Manny Pacquiao, yes, you're next," - Floyd Mayweather
And here's another video of 'The Money' telling the world that he's ready to fight Manny Pacquiao on the 5th of May 2012.

"May 5th, let's make the fight. I'm here, I'm waiting! What's going on? You said you're a clean athlete, and you said you would take the tests and all that. Well, let's do it!" - Floyd Mayweather Jr.
“If you want honesty, I’m going to give it to you. Marquez fought Pacquiao three times. Marquez beat Pacquiao three times.” - Floyd Mayweather, Jr.

Though it's like an impossible match, but I still wish - along with the millions of boxing fans worldwide, that the said superfight between Manny 'Pacman' Pacquiao and Floyd 'Money' Mayweather will materialize. Fingers-crossed. =)

I'm ready (to fight) right now! - Pacquiao

Hollywood (Thursday Night)
After his training at the Wild Card Gym, the Filipino fighter Manny Pacquiao, along with his supporters in a convoy of six vehicles, proceeded to the show of Jimmy Kimmel.

"I'm ready (to fight) right now," Pacquiao answered when Jimmy Kimmel, the American talk-show host asked him about his preparations on May 7 upcoming fight. Pacquiao will fight to defend his WBO Welterweight crown against the American-African Shane Mosley.

But he backed a bit, when the host asked him if he will knock out Mosley. He said he only wants to give boxing fans "a good fight".

During the packed show last Thursday, Pacman did not sing to his fans but cuts from his debut CD single/DVD in the United States were played, including his version of “Sometimes When We Touch,” the 1977 smash hit of Canadian Dan Hill. The CD was done in collaboration with Hill and the song’s original producers.

At the same time, Pacquiao also managed to make a pitch for his own line of perfume, the MP scent.

This is Pacman's fourth appearance on the said show. The first one was in November 2009 before his fight against Miguel Cotto, and also the time where Pacquiao sang John Lennon's "Imagine".

MANNY "Pacman" PACQUIAO vs JOSHUA "the Hitter" CLOTTEY

Manny Pacquiao and Joshua Clottey, were all smiles as they standing under the world's largest high-definition television and surrounded by Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders during the announcement of their coming Welterweight fight on Tuesday, 13 March 2010 at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium.

As we all knew that the Pacquiao vs Mayweather fight did not materialized, as both camp have different stand regarding urine and blood testing. And also not to mentioned, too much money and pride involved for the said fight not to happen.

The scheduled March 13 bout will be the first boxing match at the $12 billion Cowboys Stadium. "This is going to be the Super Bowl of Boxing," said Freddie Roach, Pacman's trainer.

Not really. What we really hoped-for is the match up between Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao and Floyd "Money" Mayweather Jr., the kind of match that we can really labeled as the "Super Bowl of Boxing".

But as the Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said, " We're going to make this one of the most interesting fights to view that there's ever been."

Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao (50-3-2, 38 KOs) from the Philippines is widely considered as the #1 pound-for-pound and voted as the best fighter in the world, against Joshua "the Hitter" Clottey (35-3-0, 25 KOs) from Accra, Ghanna and resides in New York. Last November fight, Pacquiao beat Miguel Cotto, who happens to beat Clottey in a split decision.

So, let's cross our fingers and hope for a pretty good fight. =)
